Final defendant in Va. drug case pleads guilty

A Virginia man has admitted to a drug possession with intent to distribute charge as well as bringing in excess of five pounds of the marijuana into the state. The man, 22, was part of a three-person team that ran the drug operation, which prosecutors characterized as one of the biggest marijuana cases ever in Richmond.

Man sentenced in theft case

A Staunton, Virginia, man has pleaded guilty to a variety of theft charges. The man, 21, entered his plea to two counts of grand larceny, as well as a count of credit-card theft and another of selling stolen property. Under Virginia law, he could have received as long as six months in jail, but the judge gave him credit for time served.
